Multi-slot Bookings in Cal ID

Multi-Slot Booking allows attendees to select and book multiple available time slots in a single booking flow. Each selected slot is created as its own booking.
For example, if an attendee selects three 30-minute slots, Cal ID creates three separate bookings for those selected times.

Multi-Slot Booking is available on Business and Enterprise plans.

What is Multi-Slot Booking?

Normally, an attendee can select only one available time slot while booking an event.
When Multi-Slot Booking is enabled, the attendee can select multiple available slots and book them together in one booking flow.
You can configure how many slots an attendee can book at once.
For example:

  • Minimum slots: 3
  • Maximum slots: 5

The attendee can then select anywhere between 3 and 5 slots and book them together.
Each selected slot becomes an individual booking.

How to Enable Multi-Slot Booking

You can enable Multi-Slot Booking from the configuration of the event type.

Steps

  1. Go to Event Types.
  2. Open the event type where you want to allow multiple-slot bookings.
  3. Go to the Multi Slots tab.
  4. Turn Multi-slot booking ON.
  5. Configure how many slots the attendee can book.
  6. Save the event type.

Once enabled, attendees will be able to select multiple available slots while booking.

If Multi-Slot Booking is disabled

If Multi-Slot Booking is not enabled, the attendee can book only one slot at a time for that event.

Multi-Slot Booking Configuration

After enabling the feature, you can configure how the attendee selects the number of slots.
Cal ID provides two options:

  1. Booker chooses slots

  1. Fixed number of slots

1. Booker Chooses Slots

With Booker chooses slots, the attendee decides how many available slots they want to book.
You can set:

  • Minimum slots
  • Maximum slots

For example:

  • Minimum slots: 3
  • Maximum slots: 5

In this configuration, the attendee must select at least 3 slots and can select up to 5 slots.
So the attendee can select:

  • 3 slots
  • 4 slots
  • 5 slots

The attendee cannot select fewer than the configured minimum or more than the configured maximum.

Maximum number of slots

The current configuration supports booking up to 5 slots at once.

2. Fixed Number of Slots

With Fixed number of slots, you can specify the exact number of slots that the attendee must select.
For example, if you configure the event to require 3 slots, the attendee must select exactly 3 slots to complete the booking.
The attendee cannot choose a different number of slots.

Allow Multiple Slots on the Same Day

Cal ID also allows you to control whether attendees can select multiple slots on the same day.
You will find the option:
Allow multiple appointments on the same day

When enabled

Attendees can select multiple available slots on the same day.
For example, if your event duration is 15 minutes, an attendee could select three consecutive slots on the same day:

  • 10:00 AM – 10:15 AM
  • 10:15 AM – 10:30 AM
  • 10:30 AM – 10:45 AM

This allows the attendee to book multiple consecutive slots on the same day.

When disabled

Multiple selected slots are spread across different days instead of allowing multiple appointments on the same day.
This option is off by default.

How the Attendee Books Multiple Slots

Once Multi-Slot Booking is enabled for an event, the attendee can select multiple available time slots during the booking process.

The attendee:

  1. Opens the event booking page.

  1. Selects the available time slots they want to book.
  2. Selects the required number of slots according to the event configuration.

  1. Fills in the required booking questions.
  2. Clicks Confirm to complete the booking.

Once the booking is confirmed, all selected slots are booked.

Important: Each selected slot becomes its own booking.

For example, if the attendee selects 4 slots, Cal ID creates 4 individual bookings.

What the Attendee Sees After Booking

After the attendee successfully books multiple slots, Cal ID displays all the booked slots on the confirmation page.

For each booked slot, the attendee can see:

  • Date and time of the slot
  • Meeting URL
  • Reschedule option
  • Cancel option

This allows the attendee to manage each individual booking separately.

Example

If an attendee books 3 slots, the confirmation page shows all 3 booked meetings.

Each slot has its own:
Join Meeting · Reschedule · Cancel

So the attendee can manage a particular slot without having to change the other bookings.

Cancel All Booked Slots

If the attendee wants to cancel all the slots at once, they do not need to cancel each booking individually.

The confirmation page provides an option:
Cancel all {number of booked slots} slots

For example, if 4 slots were booked, the attendee can select:
Cancel all 4 slots

This allows all the booked slots to be cancelled together.

Multi-Slot Booking With Paid Events

Multi-Slot Booking can also be used with paid bookings.
You only need to set the price for one slot for the event type in the Apps tab of the event type settings.
Cal ID calculates the total amount based on the number of slots selected or configured for the booking.

Booker Chooses Slots + Paid Booking

When the attendee chooses the number of slots, the amount is calculated based on the number of slots they select.

For example:
Price per slot: ₹500
If the attendee selects:

  • 2 slots → ₹1,000
  • 3 slots → ₹1,500
  • 4 slots → ₹2,000
  • 5 slots → ₹2,500

The attendee will see the calculated amount and can proceed with the payment.

Fixed Number of Slots + Paid Booking

When a fixed number of slots is configured, the amount is calculated based on that fixed number of slots.

For example:
Price per slot: ₹500
Fixed slots: 3
The booking amount will be:
3 × ₹500 = ₹1,500
The attendee will be shown the applicable amount for payment.

Refunds for Multi-Slot Paid Bookings

⚠️ Important: Cal ID does not support refunds for multi-slot bookings.

Refunds are not processed through Cal ID for multi-slot bookings, regardless of the refund policy configured for the event.
If you need to issue a refund for a multi-slot booking, you must process the refund directly from your Razorpay or integrated payment gateway dashboard.

Important

The refund policy configured in Cal ID does not change this limitation for multi-slot bookings.

Multi-Slot Booking for Team Events

Multi-Slot Booking is also available for Team Event Types.
Team events in Cal ID support three scheduling types:

  1. Round Robin
  2. Collective
  3. Managed

The Multi-Slot Booking behavior depends on the team scheduling type.

1. Round Robin Team Events

For Round Robin events, the regular Multi-Slot Booking configuration is available, along with an additional setting:

Round-robin host assignment

This setting determines how hosts are assigned when an attendee books multiple slots.
There are two options:

A. One round-robin host for the whole booking

When One round-robin host for the whole booking is enabled, the same round-robin host handles all the selected slots.
The host is selected from the round-robin hosts who are available for all of the selected times.

For example, if an attendee selects three slots, Cal ID selects one round-robin host who is available for all three slots, and that same host attends all three bookings.

What the attendee sees

Once the booking is completed, the attendee can see the assigned host for the booking on:

  • The booking confirmation page
  • The confirmation email

Because the same host is assigned to the whole booking, the attendee sees that host associated with the booking.

Example

The attendee books:

  • Monday, 09:00 AM
  • Tuesday, 09:00 AM
  • Wednesday, 09:00 AM

If One round-robin host for the whole booking is enabled and Host A is available for all three slots, Host A is assigned to all three slots.

B. Rotate through the round-robin hosts

When Rotate through the round-robin hosts is enabled, the selected slots are distributed across the round-robin hosts.
This means the attendee may meet a different round-robin host for different slots.

What the attendee sees

The attendee can see the assigned host for each individual slot directly below that slot.

For example:

Slot

Assigned Host

Slot 1

Host A

Slot 2

Host B

Slot 3

Host C

This makes it clear to the attendee which host is assigned to each individual booking.

Fixed Host

If a fixed host is configured for the event, the attendee can also see the assigned fixed host for the individual slots.
The host information is displayed with the respective booked slots.

Round Robin: Host/Organizer View

As a host, you can manage the individual bookings created by a Multi-Slot Booking.
Go to the Bookings tab to view the bookings for the selected slots.
Each selected slot appears as its own booking.

From the booking details, the host can manage the booking, including:

  • Rescheduling the booking
  • Cancelling the booking

This means that although the attendee selected multiple slots in one booking flow, the resulting bookings can be managed individually from the Bookings section.

Collective Team Events

Multi-Slot Booking is also supported for Collective team events.

The same Multi-Slot Booking configuration available for personal events can be used for Collective events, including:

  • Booker chooses slots
  • Fixed number of slots
  • Minimum and maximum slot configuration where applicable
  • Allow multiple appointments on the same day
  • Paid booking

What the Booker Sees After a Collective Booking

After the attendee selects the slots and confirms the booking, the confirmation page displays the booked slots.

For each booked slot, the attendee can see:

  • The booked date, time and timezone
  • Meeting URL
  • Host name
  • Host email
  • Reschedule option
  • Cancel option

The attendee can therefore identify the hosts associated with the booking and manage each slot individually.

Example

If the attendee books 3 slots, the confirmation page can show:

Slot 1
Date & Time
Meeting URL
Reschedule
Cancel

Slot 2
Date & Time
Meeting URL
Reschedule
Cancel

Slot 3
Date & Time
Meeting URL
Reschedule
Cancel

Collective Host View

Hosts can view the bookings from the Bookings tab.
The bookings created for the selected slots can be viewed and managed from there.

Managed Team Events

Multi-Slot Booking is also available for Managed team events.
Managed events support the same Multi-Slot Booking configuration available for personal events.

You can configure:

  • Booker chooses slots
  • Fixed number of slots
  • Minimum and maximum slots where applicable
  • Allow multiple appointments on the same day
  • Paid booking

The attendee can select the configured number of slots, complete the required questions, and confirm the booking.
The selected slots are booked as individual bookings.
Hosts can view and manage the bookings from the Bookings tab.

Example: How Multi-Slot Booking Works

Suppose you have a 30-minute event with Multi-Slot Booking enabled.
You configure:

  • Minimum slots: 3
  • Maximum slots: 5
  • Allow multiple appointments on the same day: ON

An attendee opens your booking page and selects:

  • 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
  • 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM
  • 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

The attendee has selected 3 slots.
Cal ID creates three separate bookings, one for each selected slot.
If the event is paid and the price is ₹500 per slot:
3 × ₹500 = ₹1,500
The attendee pays ₹1,500 for the three selected slots.
