Set Event Location

In Cal ID, the location sets where a meeting happens — a video call, a physical office, or a phone call — and you can even let guests choose.

Supported location types

  • In person: type a specific address or venue.
  • Link: a custom or permanent meeting link (e.g., a static personal Zoom room).
  • Attendee phone number: Cal ID asks the guest for their number so you can call them.
  • Organizer phone number: you provide your number for the guest to call.
  • Jitsi Video: Jitsi's built-in global video conferencing.
  • Third-party conferencing: integrated apps like Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and more (the app must be installed from the App Store).

Default: if you don't set a location, Cal ID uses Jitsi.

Set or change the location

  1. Open Event Types and click the event.
  2. Scroll to the Location section.
  3. Click Add location (or use the dropdown) and pick a type.
  4. Fill in any required details (address, phone, etc.).
  5. Click Save.

Multiple locations (attendee choice)

Offer more than one way to meet — e.g., "Zoom Call" or "In-person Meeting."

  • Add multiple location options in the event settings.

  • At booking, the guest picks their preferred location as a required question before confirming.

Privacy: show after booking

For sensitive locations (a home or private office), hide the details from the public page — the full location is revealed only in the guest's confirmation email after booking.
