Teams in Cal ID

The Teams feature groups users for collaborative scheduling — manage shared availability, distribute meetings evenly, and give clients one place to book your department.

Why use teams

  • Shared availability: instantly find times when members are free, avoiding conflicts.
  • Even workload: automatically distribute meetings among available members.
  • Unified brand: present one scheduling page for the whole team.

Create a team

  1. Log in to Cal ID and open the Teams page.
  2. Click + Add a team.
  3. Enter the Team name (reflected in your public URL) and set the Team URL. The creator automatically becomes the Owner.

  1. Add members: enter each email, choose a role (Owner, Admin, or Member), and click Send invite.

  1. Click Continue to create your first team event type.

Team roles

  • Owner / Admin: can change any team setting.
  • Member: can see applied settings but not modify them.

Create a team event type

  1. Title & duration: name the event type and set its length.
  2. Scheduling type: choose how it's booked (see below).
  3. Description: add a short description for clients.

Scheduling types

  • Round Robin — books one available member automatically, rotating for even distribution (e.g., sales demos across account executives). See Round-Robin Scheduling.
  • Collective — books only when all selected members are free (e.g., panel interviews). See Collective Events.
  • Managed — books from an admin-controlled template for standardized events. See Managed Events.
