# Verify Email on Booking Page before the Booking

**Requires booker email verification** makes guests enter a code before confirming, ensuring every booking is tied to a real, reachable email.

| Why use it

* **Kill spam & fake bookings:** blocks bots using non-existent addresses.
* **Guarantee deliverability:** invites and reminders will actually arrive.
* **Protect sensitive meetings:** the booker is who they claim to be.
* **Reduce no-shows:** the extra step filters out low-intent bookers.

| Set it up

1. Open **Event Types** and click the event.
2. Open the **Advanced** tab.
3. Toggle **Requires booker email verification** **ON**.
4. Click **Save**.

| How it works

After filling in their details, the guest enters a **6-digit code** Cal ID emails them. Once it's correct, the meeting confirms and lands on both calendars. If they don't enter it in time, the slot stays open for others.

| 💡 Tip

Verification adds a little friction — great for public links where spam is a concern, but you may leave it off for known clients or internal meetings.
