# Start of the Week

In **Cal ID**, **Start of week** sets which day appears first on your calendar, reorganizing your **public booking page** to match your work schedule.

| Why change it

* **Business view:** a **Monday** start groups the work week (Mon–Fri) together.
* **Traditional view:** a **Sunday** start places the weekend at the front.
* **Visual only:** it moves columns — it doesn't change your hours or existing meetings.

| Change the start of the week

1. Click **Settings** in the left sidebar.
2. Open the **General** sub-tab.
3. Scroll to the **Start of week** dropdown.
4. Select your preferred day (e.g., **Monday**).
5. Click **Update** to save.

| What guests see

* **New column order:** with **Monday** selected, the first column is **MON**, ending with **SUN**.
* **Correct dates:** dates stay under the right day (e.g., Feb 5 stays under **THU** regardless of the start day).
* **Easier navigation:** clients view your availability in the work week they're used to.

| 💡 Tip

Most international businesses use a **Monday** start; a **Sunday** start is often more familiar for North American clients.
