# Setting Necessary Permission for Google Calendar Integration

[Cal ID](https://cal.id/home) integrates with Google Calendar to create events, read your schedule, and avoid conflicts. To do that, it needs certain permissions — grant them all when prompted, or the integration may be blocked from creating, updating, or viewing events.

| Why Cal ID needs each permission

|| View your calendar

Lets Cal ID read your schedule to find free slots and prevent double-booking.

|| Create events

When someone books you, Cal ID adds the event to your calendar and blocks that time.

|| Edit events

Lets Cal ID update an event when a meeting is rescheduled.

|| Delete events

Lets Cal ID remove an event when a booking is cancelled, keeping your calendar accurate.

> **Note:** grant all requested permissions to sync your Google Calendar. Cal ID uses them only for scheduling, in line with its privacy policy.
