# Integrating Meta Pixel

Connecting **Meta Pixel** (formerly Facebook Pixel) with Cal ID tracks conversions, optimizes your Facebook ad campaigns, and builds custom audiences from your scheduling data — no custom code needed.

| Step 1: Find your Meta Pixel ID

1. Log in to **Meta Business Suite** / Business Manager.
2. Open **All Tools › Events Manager**.
3. Under **Data Sources**, select your web asset (Meta now calls the Pixel a component of a **Dataset**).
4. Open its **Settings** tab.
5. Copy the **Dataset ID** (Pixel ID) — a long number.

| Step 2: Install Meta Pixel in Cal ID

1. Log in to Cal ID and open the **Apps** section.
2. Search for **Meta Pixel** and click **Install**.

6. Submit — you're redirected back to Cal ID.

| Manage the Pixel per event type

1. Open **Event Types** and click **Edit** on the event.
2. Open the **Apps** tab and enable **Meta Pixel**.
3. Paste your **Pixel ID** and save.

| Understanding your data

Successful bookings fire a built-in event called `booking_success_v2`, ready to map for ad conversions out of the box.

> **Note on discrepancies:** small differences between Cal ID bookings and Meta Events Manager are normal — caused by cookie restrictions, ad blockers, multi-device behavior, or your Meta attribution window.

| Checklist

* Copy your Dataset/Pixel ID from Meta Events Manager.
* Install the Meta Pixel app in Cal ID.
* Paste the ID in the app setup or per event type's **Apps** tab.
* Run a test booking and confirm `booking_success_v2` fires in Meta.
