# Duplicate the Event Type

**Duplicate** makes an exact copy of an event type you've already set up.

| Why use it

* **Save time:** reuse a perfectly configured 30-minute event as a 60-minute version without retyping questions and reminders.
* **Stay consistent:** it copies everything — availability, reminders, and settings.
* **Create a template:** build one "perfect" event and copy it whenever you need a new one.

| How to duplicate

1. Log in to [Cal ID](https://cal.id/home) and open **Event Types**.
2. Click the **three dots (…)** on the event and select **Duplicate**.

3. In the **Duplicate Event Type** box, update the **title**, **URL**, **description**, and **duration**.

4. Click **Continue** — the new event appears in your list. Changes to it won't affect the original.
