# Customizing Your Appearance in Cal ID

In **Cal ID**, **Appearance** settings personalize your account's visuals — your internal dashboard theme and the layout guests see on your public booking page.

| Open Appearance settings

1. Log in to Cal ID.
2. Go to **Settings** and open the **Appearance** tab.
3. Set your themes and layout (below).
4. Click **Update** to save each section.

| Dashboard theme

Controls your logged-in dashboard only — guests never see it.

* **System default:** matches your device's light/dark mode.
* **Light:** a clean, bright interface.
* **Dark:** a high-contrast dark interface, easier in low light.

Select a theme and click **Update** below that section.

| Booking page theme

Controls the theme guests see on your booking page. Choose **System default**, **Light**, or **Dark**, then click **Update** in that section.

| Booking layout

Choose how your available slots are presented, and which view loads first.

* **Month view** — a full-month grid; best for booking far ahead.

* **Weekly view** — days side by side within a week; best for finding a near-term opening.

* **Column view** — a vertical list of dates and times; the most mobile-friendly.

**Enable multiple views:** check **Month**, **Weekly**, and **Column** to let bookers switch layouts on your page; uncheck the ones you don't want.

**Set the default view:** under **Default view**, pick the layout that loads when someone opens your link.

| 💡 Tip

For the most flexibility, enable all three layouts so bookers can pick the view they find most comfortable.
