# Custom Event Name in Booking

**Custom event names** change how meetings appear on your calendar and the guest's — using dynamic variables instead of the default `{Event type title} with {Scheduler}`.

| Why use it

* **Instant context:** see who and what at a glance.
* **Better organization:** helpful for high volumes of similar meetings.
* **Clear titles:** consistent, professional naming.

| Available variables

* `{Event type title}` — the event name (e.g., "Weekly Sync").
* `{Event Duration}` — the meeting length.
* `{Organiser}` — your full name.
* `{Organiser first name}` — your first name.
* `{Scheduler}` — the booker's full name.
* `{Scheduler first name}` — the booker's first name.

| Set it up

1. Open **Event Types** and click the event.
2. Open the **Advanced** tab and find the **Event name** field.

4. Click **Save**.

> **Note:** if you've enabled **Split full name into first and last name**, you can use `{Scheduler first name}` in the title.
