# Booker Active Booking Limit

The **Booker active booking limit** stops one guest from monopolizing your schedule by capping how many "active" (upcoming) bookings they can hold.

| Why use it

* **Prevent calendar hogging:** one guest can't book five consecutive Mondays.
* **Fair access:** in coaching, office hours, or limited consultations, everyone gets a chance.
* **Reduce no-show impact:** limiting to one active booking cuts the risk of a serial no-show.
* **Enforce service tiers:** cap sessions per guest by email address.

| Set it up

1. Open **Event Types** and click the event.
2. Open the **Limits** tab.
3. Toggle **Booker active booking limit** **ON** and set the count (usually `1`).

4. Optionally toggle **Offer to reschedule last active booking to chosen time slot** so guests can move their existing meeting instead of being blocked.

5. Click **Save**.

| How it works

If a guest (identified by email) tries to book while they already have an upcoming session, the booking is blocked:

> **Could not book the meeting.** Booker maximum active booking limit exceeded.

With the reschedule option on, they're instead offered to move their existing booking to the new time.

> **Note:** the limit is by **email address** — a different email counts as a new person. For collective and team events, it applies to that event type.
